Hawiye are in general anti peace and anti nature so this deal was necessary to save puntite mother's and children and economic trade from north to south, west to east, cause they are known for raiding villages. They are also known for stopping vehicles and trade going to puntland with their isbaaro, so the deal is a good one and it doesnt affect Puntites negatively or Dal udug. It's necessary for trucks coming from goldogob to Garacad are not harassed and mothers are not shot and killed as they did recently.
Cotton peace is good for everyone. Beneficiaries are the mothers and children on both sides as their sons, husbands and fathers will not to have die in a foolish war. This people share everything. It will benefit Mudug people who share affection and blood ties. It will also benefit all of Somalia as this region was one if the hardest places to bring peace to and many believe was the source of the civil war. Many also believe if Mudug takes piece and puts the idiocy to a side there are no legitimate reasons why other conflicts cannot be solved.

You really should not dislike clans, I tell the young they should be arguing in state terms. Like someone from Puntland should be a Puntlander and look after the interests of the state rather than the clan.

It's reality based on 20 years. Why would there be any peace treaty with people that are literally feeding your starving nomads in their lands? No normal functioning human being would need a peace treaty with the same people that welcomed your people. Sometimes you take political ocrrectness too far
