I don’t think most landers wouldn’t even agree to this proposal. For years you fight for separation then decide to “annex” the enemy Somalia? Wouldn’t that lead to isaaq’s becoming a minority in the general population consequently leading to losing power. I think you are also overestimating the power of the SL military. If Somaliland somehow annexed all of Somalia, then the only thing they changed is the flag and the name of the country, in the end after the next election there is no guarantee an Isaaq will be the president. They might even just elect a hawiye and he would probably just change back the name to Somalia and the flag to the blue and white star.

Somaliland annexing Somalia would just unite the country, only under a different flag. Still the same people. These landers are actually morons man, they can't even realize WHY they want to separate.

Well Somalia also has an arms embargo. So a stalemate essentially in that regard I think is safe to assume. We win in numbers, democracy, foreign relations, peace and stability, reputation, and self-sufficiency. Besides I don't see how 'better-trained' captains will make all that much of an effect in a war.

You win in literally none of those, somalia has literally 5 times your population "win in numbers". SOmaliland government is just as corrupt if not worse. "foreign relations" You only have foreign relations with UAE and Ethiopia. Both of which are looking for your demise and using you to plot against Somalia. Especially how Somalia is one of the fastest growing and developing countries in the world. SL will have to stick to their langaab ways of just over 3 mill pop.

SL doesn't even have much working equipment, you'll have trouble bringing your military all across the desert with civilian vehicles. SL would be squashed in a war. You're lucky it's not in any of our interests to fight each other

Well I was just expressing my opinion of your posts. I'm sorry that you took it the wrong way, I wasn't butthurt at all, in fact I was perfectly calm. You know it isn't like me to do that kind of thing. I'm usually the one it's done to. I'm not annoying at all. But our population is about 4 million, not 3 by the way. I do agree though that Somalia's infantry would vastly outnumber ours should there be conscription. But I'm not sure how you could train them any more easily than we could. Especially when we have fewer units. Quality over quantity. And I severely doubt Somalia could handle conflict with Somaliland while also in conflict with Al-Shabaab. I admit you're right though.
