Kuwait to Print 100K Copies of Quran in Swedish
CAIRO – 11 July 2023: Following an unfortunate event in Stockholm that saw the burning of the Quran, the Kuwaiti Cabinet has decided to print 100,000 copies of the Holy Quran translated into Swedish. This initiative, as reported by the official Kuwait News Agency (KUNA), has been launched by Sheikh Ahmad Nawaf Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah, the head of the Kuwaiti Cabinet.
The General Authority for Printing and Publishing the Holy Quran in Kuwait has been entrusted with the task of printing these copies, and the Kuwaiti Ministry of Foreign Affairs has been coordinated with to distribute the translated copies across Sweden.
In a statement, the Kuwaiti Cabinet asserted that this move underscores the tolerant nature of the Islamic religion. It aims to spread Islamic principles and values and foster positive coexistence among all humans. Furthermore, it intends to highlight mercy in Islam and reject feelings of hate, extremism, and religious intolerance.
