A good leader in the region would say, we want the foreign aid split 4.5 which isn't even fair to begin with but it's a start towards the right path. Rather 5 different hospitals in mogadishu, we could've split those 5 hospitals across each region giving one dedicated hospital to each region. That's how federalism is supposed to work but as you can see the hawiye are 'centralizing'. Their using the foreign aid money to build hamar so as time goes on people start to hate their own regions and therefore support a centralized govt. It's the same mentality as Afweyne not allowing developments anywhere bit xamar. But all of this is not for free it's either debt or for influence. Relying on other people to build & provide is not good for a poor country as it will be hard to develop naturally.

But do you see the political reason behind centralizing development to mogadishu? It's to make people think their regional govt is useless therefore when a referendum happens on federalism, people will say 'let mogadishu' be our government and weaken federal state power. It's pure economic war and our leaders are sitting by idly watching it happen. They sign silly agreements which mogadishu doesn't abide by and then goes more years as they dump more foreign aid into mogadishu. Their centralism project is on track, pure economic war on the regions to make their people hate federalism.

You already see outcries from Puntland locals in support of Hamar govt when GAAS got tough with them, it will be worse in 5 years time if the rate of foreign aid continues into mogadishu and locals in puntland see no reason to support puntland government. This is a threat to our federal project.

Are we becoming like Isaaq, just sitting idly by watching the danger of how mogadishu is being heavily invested to which will make local hargaysans feel secessionism is no longer good policy. This economic war from mogadishu is not only a danger to our federalism, but also somaliland secessionism.

What do you guys actually propose we do? pull out all regional representatives in mogadishu through the CIC regional body and make it a mogadishu based administration? we need answers and policies not abuse and being isolated like hargeisa. We only lose thru isolation as mogadishu develops faster and faster with your GOD DAMN MONEY not their OWN and your people start to riot and protest in puntland how bad life is over there and say we want the somali govt ruling us not puntland. This is where this is heading if there is no strong shared policy between all the regions.

Just one erdogan hospital is 35 million dollars more then all SL hospitals combined.
