Vast majority speak Somali. The ones in Jubooyinka speak maay dialect and the ones in the shabeele speak Maxaa.

There may be a small group in jubooyinka that speak chigzuala due to have Swahili origins but they arent the majority.

Those are bantu from jubaland theyre very recent Arrivals 1860-1870s. They escaped from a ship in muqdisho and ran to the jubas led by nasib bundo. They speak their own languages that are spoken in Tanzania Mozambique and malawi. They’re also culturally connected to their motherland a lot of them have went back and bought properties in Tanzania after settling in the usa as refugees.

You have the peaceful culture of the southern Somalis which engage is farming and less pastoralism as well as the coastal Somalis. Then you have the Nomadic pastoralist Somalis who have a violent and expansionist culture.

This is one of the reasons why Somalia is in the current state it is in. Maybe a two state solution is the way to go.

There's truth to this regarding regional cultural differences however your people were expansionist once too. You took over Afgooye defeating silcis hawiye. Then there was Geledi and Biimal wars. It's all just competition in the end for resources.

The difference was geledi was native to Afgooye but just defeated the ruling force in that region. Also Biimaal originate from northern Somalia making them the expansionist in that regard.

I agree though that even the southern clans do have their tribal wars. But they have grown over the centuries to adopt a more peaceful culture avoiding clan warfare for the most part.
