Those are about refugees in two camps Dadab and Kakuma in the NorthEast and South of Kenya. Dadab is actually in the Somali territory near the border, wouldn't really say it's another mans land and it's set up and funded by world relief agencies as well not by Kenyans, they dont administrate it.

They are also not new, the Somali ones mainly arrived in 2010, been there for decades and the bulk of refugees in the other camp Kakuma are actually from South Sudan fleeing war.

It's laughable to see Kenyans make a big issue about it. They don't have to pay single dime for them to be there, they get paid for it to compensate for the land use like a rent fee , the ones who host them are international workers and Somali volenteers from NFD and most of that money is intended to go to the camps, like they always have.

I remember someone shared this video where Farah Maalim the Dabab MP pretty much explains it. And there is a clear seperation between Somali economic migrants to Nairobi or Eastleigh and native Somali kenyans in NFD and those who live in Dadab due to the constraints in freedom of movement. Kenyans struggle with making those distinctions.
