I want to know more about the hand chain in the aleel picture? Do we still wear those? I rarely see it.

I think aleel's would look nice worn backwards. So leave the front bare and wear it as hair jewellery. It could be a cute style.

Somali headwear was usually the taaj, aleel, leather headband, a simple gold circlet, gambo, beaded headband, unwrapped veil/hijab

Omg just realised you wrote hand chain not head chain… somalis didnt wear hand chains like that, probably south asian
