It is funny the Dir and Garhajis don't even claim to be related to Arabs but DNA prove us wrong while those that claim to be related to Arabs
have been proven wrong.

You might not now, but a lot of your fellow clansmen do. Even you used to subscribe to the Bani Hashim talk around a decade ago. I remember a thread where you were arguing that Isaaq are not Dir because they descend from Bani Hashim whilst the Dir have links to Oromo.

We are still right since our ancestral DNA is linked to Kuwait. :lolbron: Other Isaaqs were wrong though.:manny:

How many years ago approximately did the T1a1a2b2 oday live?

Brother, it ain't about t1a1a2b2, that test will identify the sublclade of t1a1a2b2 that we specifically belong to and the estimated TMRCA. Hopefully Jos gets us that information or we can facebook the Spaniard for the info ourselves.

Your beloved Habar Jeclos, other Isaaqs, Samaroons, Ciise, Surres etc that are T also Kuwaiti by your logic. We ain't Arab but we just share a distant ancestry with those Kuwaitis. Allah knows when we parted ways with them, made our separate way to the Horn of Africa and helped establish the Somali ethnic group.

What u mean it aint about t1a1a2b2? Yeah knowing the subclade would give us even more info, but I'd also like to know how far back t1a1a2b2 goes.

So does that mean t1a1a2b2 is even more recent than that since it has the additional b2 at the end of it?

Probably 5,000 years old. It isn't registered yet on those databases.

The Dir - Isaaq T split could still be quite old (think 2,000 years ago), more research needed.

I really doubt the Dir-Garxajis/Isaaq split is that old. But yeah more research is definitely required.

You go a point bro, what if T1a1a2b2 is just two millenniums old? Does that mean our ancestor came relatively recently from Arabia? In the past two millenniums?

There might be some truth to the Zumali tale after all.:drakelaugh:

How much is the cheapest test?

Don't bother for a cheap one. Wait a few years and the y-full test will become cheaper. It will be able to give a good enough picture of how closely related you are to other members of your clan that belong to the same haplogroup.
