Somali president HSM in Italy.
Both Eritrea and Somalia were former Italian colonies. So having good diplomatic ties with Italy aren’t bad.
HSM can use his trip to gain more support against the MOU. Many high ranking EU and western officials are there aswell.

What about the atomic waste the Italians dropped in our seas? the countless massacres commited against Somalis during the italian occupation, or you know the bare minimum of an apology for the decades long mistreatments of the former colonies?
All will be forgiven if they use the EU to help Somalia. We thank Abo Italy for their support thus far.

I think the Mou will be discussed there plus the UN is a resolution on it.
this might be a diplomatic embarrassment for Ethiopia. Somalia can only win.
somalia is seen as reliable partner for the west. Because of Somalia‘s strategic locations having longest coastline in Africa and because of its contributions in fighting Al Shabab.
Ethiopia has been benefiting from good relations with the west that is why they have been able to make their military adventures in the region.

Why scapegoating ur adeer. Ask em what he was doin in brussel in 2015. Besides Kenyans have killed more somalis then italias occupation. The italians built and kept census.

If I can add my opinion on that I would say during such summits like similar summit in the past (Saudi-Africa summit, Russia-Africa summit, or the US Africa summit, head of states of all African countries are invited. Of course host countries want to expand their reach in Africa but its more like the host countries want to meet with all countries to expand bilateral ties and trade relations

If it wasnt for italy though we'd be missing much more land in the central regions and we wouldnt have jubbaland.
