China didn't get bodied by the Mongolians...they literally assimilated them and brought them into their fold and then expelled them (Yuan Dynasty). The Tang and Qing Dynasty also controlled them aswell.

China didn't need to expand into the barren Steppes or Siberia...that's like saying why didn't Ancient Egypt expand into the Sahara desert.

One of the reasons China wasn't a imperialist force was because they already beat the "civilazational game". The Han dynasty were contemporaries of Rome...they fell whilst China still stands.

They had the all the resources they needed already, the were able to unite all their different tribes and ethnicities into one group and they were in one of the best geographic regions allowing them to prosper for millennia.

The Japanese invaded China when it was as its weakest points...China recovered and are the second most powerful nation in the world whilst the Japanese got bombed twice, militarily cucked and their population declining to an unrecoverable point whilst being vassals to the West.
