Sxb the beauty of Islam is that it is already perfected. We were revealed The Quran and the Sunnah. The only interpretation we should follow is the sunnah and the scholars.
by adding new ideas and taking out parts of the faith is innovation. By doing this we are no better then the Jews or Christians who edited their views to fit their pleasures and desires. This is strictly haram as the prophet pbuh warned us about this practice.
Suicide bombing is innovation. Not praying 5 times a day is innovation these are not from the sunnah not Islam.
I believe the woman is heavily misguided and is trying to modernize Islam. There are some things in liberalism that directly oppose islam such as interest for example. Unfortunately we cannot escape this liberal world order but we must not change our religion for the greater for the sake of Allah.

I'm not muslim myself but all I am saying is that there are many sects of Islam that do not use the same scholars or have the same hadiths, some muslims only follow the Quran disregarding all sunnah.
