Yes it’s true they even recently closed thousands of mosques since no one was attending them the country is about 30% Muslim right now this is what happens when you have a theocratic government and push people to extreme
This can’t be the reason tho, Afghanistan is a lot worse than Iran yet afghans aren’t leaving islam in droves.Yes it’s true they even recently closed thousands of mosques since no one was attending them the country is about 30% Muslim right now this is what happens when you have a theocratic government and push people to extreme
A Caliphate is theocratic and will lead people to irreligiosity but a secular system will turn everyone sheikhs. He has a sound logic. This can’t be the reason tho, Afghanistan is a lot worse than Iran yet afghans aren’t leaving islam in droves.
Most Iranians in the west are the ones that suckled American and British petrodollars, they toppled a democratically elected government to impose the Shah rule back, just to get deposed by Iran's Islamic revolution. That Jewess has no reliable statistics to defend any of her claims. I debunked a so-called representative poll a few years ago. There is no data but pure assumption on matters inside Iran.
Iranians in the West are the elites who used to be liberal in the homeland, so they are not representatives. Many of them were non-Muslims to begin with and minority ethnic groups.
You brought up a good point. Iranians have a cultural problem where they romanticize and idealize a national continuity from the ancient kings and stories. So in fact it is much more their cultural ideas in a social sense that lead to this hyper-secularization in the West than what Ahmadinejad, what Khomeini or Khameinei, or whoever did. It's predominantly a cultural kibir.Persians have always stood out. Their attempt to blend Zoroastrian ideas into Islam, viewing their historic conversion as a defeat.
Imagine if instead of Ahmad Gurey and Mohamed Abdullahi Hassan being national icons, we focused on ancient kings like those of the land of Punt or the city-states of Sarapion and Opone as being fathers iof the nation. Imagine we would view Waaqism, not the same way Europeans viewed, paganism, old and ignorant believes of our ancestors, but instead the most truthful practices of our culture. This would shift our identity from being inherently tied to Islam to seeing it as a foreign concept imposed on us. That is what Persians have done with their history and pagan religion.
Nationalism often weakens religious beliefs, making the nation itself a kind of religion. The diaspora, largely made up of former Shah loyalists and their Americanized offspring were often agnostic or followers of Zoroastrianism, further complicates matters by using their influence to undermine their own faith.
Take Egypt, for example, where free elections saw the Muslim Brotherhood rise to power and had to be stopped from implementing sharia law via a military coup. In many Sunni-majority countries, religious faith is strong, and actually religious extremism isa concer instad of faltering faith.
Americans were cutthroat. As they say, there is no honor among thieves, eh?Most Iranians in the west are the ones that suckled American and British petrodollars, they toppled a democratically elected government to impose the Shah rule back, just to get deposed by Iran's Islamic revolution.
Thats Bs iran is not 30% muslim 30% kulahaYes it’s true they even recently closed thousands of mosques since no one was attending them the country is about 30% Muslim right now this is what happens when you have a theocratic government and push people to extreme
Yeah no shit Islam is dying, what did you expect? Have you seen how the Iranian regime treats its people? Majority of Iranians are irreligious at this point, that’s just a fact.
