I think the revolution can happen a lot more simply than you think. Start a business that exports goods from back home and sell it to the west. In that way we get our money back and create jobs.

Once jobs are created back home, it opens the door for investment for the future, along the lines of educating the future work force and creating an industrial society from the grass roots.

The violent political route never works, just read history. The new group always ends up being the same if not worse than the previous group they deposed of.

At the very least - create a Somali state that can protect the Somali people. You cannot live a decentralised mess in the 21st century. Frankly it's this order that has kept Somalis from getting wiped out after 30 years of disfunction.

If it wasn't for American order that forcibly kept borders, Somalis would've gotten chopped up by savage bantus and ethiopians after 1991. We must at least take the steps towards regaining state hood and building a place for ourself in the world with a millitary.

All the diaspora folks have aspirations to move back. The story usually goes that they go and stay for a maximum of a few years. But ultimately excluding a minority (that do actually settle in for life) the majority move back to the west. They simply cannot hack the life back home, and grow disillusioned with the people, poverty and violence.

The ones that stay usually build small business that end up flourishing to the point that they can live in luxury. Arguably much more comfortably than they ever could in the west. Most just relax and have a team of the hardest working members of their extended family working for them. I have seen this, and was intrigued.

That is hella interesting!! I definitely plan on opening up my own mechanic business once I move back home in shaa allah

Failed attempt at teaching myself FKD gone wrong, pissing off the laandheeres in my region and they know who I am IRL.

Doesn't bother me but I got the hint that I'm risking my life going back to that part of Somalia

Luckily for me I was never interested in ever going back and kinda wish I never did. Dalka hooyo ain't for everyone. I'm good living in the West but if push comes to shove there are plenty of options in the Muslim world.

Not trying to qarxis myself but lets just say one of them was from back home and connected to the clan militias running the security apparatus so he probably has me on the hit/arrest list if I ever enter the airport.

I lost hope in Somalia. That country has been a failed and dysfunctional state for more than 30 years. Who in their right mind would want to move back to a country grappling with famine, poverty, tribalism, warlords, and terrorist attacks? Somalis are unfit to govern and rule a nation. Only the bottom barrel of society who failed to make anything meaningful of their lives tends to move back to Somalia. Sadly, Somalia is a country that attracts dead-beat fathers, unemployed fobs, criminals, and individuals who failed to economically establish themselves in their former country.

The best solution for Somalia at the moment is for the country to come under a United Nations trusteeship. I had high hopes for Somalia, but every year that country disappoints me. I recall memories of Somalia when a new government was formed in 2012. In 2012, when I visited Xamar, I assumed Somalia would make remarkable progress in peace, security, and economic development in 10 years. Fast-forward: it has been more than 10 years, and Somalia is still grappling with the same problems in 2012.
