Very funny video but I agree with the man. Outside of my parents and parental older relatives, I would feel offended if someone called me waryaa and no somali outside of my family has called me that word.

Now is the word waryaa not offensive in some parts of somaliweyn? Or depends on the family. Curious to know your answers.

Waryaa is the kind of word that can be offensive, depending on how it is said.

But Naayaa, is always offensive, especially from a man to a woman. It can be seen as playful if pronounced "Naayaada or Naayahee" between ladies who know each other well.

*some places in Somalia, think Naayaa is normal.
