I am very confused right now , aren't these the same thing aside from ugali being harder what's the difference? If I order grits isn't that just soor?

I like my ugali/Soor softer. I usually cook it with extra water, but good hefty corn grind to make it lighter and moist.

never seen a somali dish that looks like that. what are the ingredients

its basically grained corn that looks like flour. U boil it, salt and then grind cook until it becomes solid.

Soor, ugali and grits use the same main product (cornmeal) but it’s all made in different ways to be eaten with different things.

I’ve always made my Soor with Semolina flour tbh. :damsel:
@beenleey he is attacking your dish here come defend yourself, I respect you for dissing that gaajo combo saxiib

:mjhaps:
I can’t even defend it, I’ve had it quite a few times when I didn’t have proper food at home. It really is a gaajo combo!! it’s taste great tho, so does Soor :eating:
