I wouldnt be surprised. Becasue they are pressured so much and judged. It is hard being a women in this world.

I think the same. Mostly it’s the women who grew up with a lot of pressure on them, (cook, clean for them family, take care of younger siblings) that you see with high divorce rates. It’s like they enjoy being single and you know why. They feel a sense of freedom

Most Somalis in the diaspora live on top of one another like sardines. Interesting point on that last part. In general I would say that there is less rigidity in terms that of male/female interactions for unmarried virgins compared to married/divorcées.


It’s not right to use any human being like that (marry a guy to divorce him or knowing that it could happen but being ok with it) and it’s messier if kids are involved... besides those reasons it doesn’t sound like a bad concept.

That last bit is so true. Once divorced they can try anything and will for short period of time. Then they realize the guys just wanted to screw them and look for second marriage. But this is becoming less and less common. In the future people will just marry less like everywhere and she ess kids. But have more partners.
