We need to investigate and document the MJ genocide by the Siad Barre regime @Manafesto and teach it in Puntland schools.

The Tutsi genocide was between 7 April 1994 and 15 July 1994, less than half a year and 500k or more were killed. The Isaaq genocide was from 1979/1980 to 1991. That's over 10 years of a government and tribal militias supported by the government trying to exterminate a Isaaq. It led to the largest refugee camp in the world in harta sheikh. There are tons of published documents on it that maybe you are ignorant of. Good thing opinions and what someone thinks doesn't dictate written history

50,000 Ogaden from refugee camps in Somaliland were conscripted to fight for Barre and the Kacaan against the Isaaq. Dont try and spin history. You lot were Kacaan loyalists until you were defeated
ikr, what happened was tragic and I hope it doesn't happen again but 200K is a heavy stretch.

SNM went and killed women,children and elderly in refugee camps.Refugee camps were deliberatly targetted.
The only Ogaden fighting were those in the SNA in Somalia.Like Axmed Cumar Jess.
Though there was qabil fights that occurred in the bordering country between Isaaq and Ogaden.

Similar to others in this thread you're arguing by using your own opinion against published reports. I posted a published record which says 50,000 refugees from Ethiopia were conscripted by Somalia government to fight the Isaaq.
