Never said it wasn't him, if he used soap daily, it would of killed the fungi since it likes slightly acidic ph and soap is alkaline, fungi thrive in environments that are moist and dark.

If the car had been kept in the same conditions longer, it would have spread to the rest.

Honestly, the cars in both examples don't look otherwise dirty. What the commenters are saying makes complete sense. India—especially the more south you go—is very tropical, humid and monsoon/rains prone. Strong breeding ground for mold and other fungus issues. There's a reason they don't really care for wooden structures the more south you go.
