I have done wrestling in high school and some at uni. Never was fan of boxing
:manny:

Wrestling give you a great base in fighting. Not sure if it helps in a street fight though. You wont have enough space, and wrestling needs space. Wrestling also happens in controlled environments, and in a fight anything goes.

I know I trained hard and gave my all if I have to puke at the end. That's a signal to my body that things are changing.

I'm not ready for sparring yet, gotta work on my shape first before i spar for 12 rounds. Or else the Madows at the gym will rough me up.
12 rounds? As if a novice could start at 12 rounds. lmao

Think about reaching 5-6 without collapsing. Just being straight with u. I've done boxing training for 2 years.

If a wrestler gets his hands on you, then its tough. You would have to rock him at the start of the fight. And I’m talking a planned fight (meet me out back in 30 minutes type scrap)

If a wrestler has a decent chin on him, then he should be the favorite to win. That’s why boxers should have decent take down defense which they usually don’t.

A decent wrestler versus a decent boxer, a decent boxer wins. It take an elite wrestlers with a good chin to defeat an elite boxer. Wrestlers need an open space, to perform well. Boxers are taught to he precise and . In terms of efficiency, nothing beats boxing.

Gacaliye its quite the contrary. A wrestle needs to close the distance while a boxer needs open space. Just recall how khabib mauled mcgregor.
Work on your grip strength and lower body strength and you can abuse 90% of the male population.

Khabib is an elite wrestler with a solid chin. Two conditions I placed for a wrestler to defeat a boxer. The space issue is not about closing the gap but, wrestlers need open place to take their opponent down. McGregor, aside from the douchebag he is, defeated many wrestlers fairly easily. Eddy Alvarez is a wrestler, Jose Aldo is blackbelt in jiu-jitsu, Chad mendes high level wrestler( Chad beat him up in the first rounds).

Max Holloway fucked Brian Ortega up, high level grappler, to the point his corner gave up.

Besides you cant use UFC to justify street fights. How often did you see people going for a Kimura and shit in a street fight. f*ck that, we throw hands in the streets of eindhoven :westbrookswag:

eddy failed to deploy his forte, he was baited my connor and he entered his realm from the start

Vs when a wrestle is honest to his discipline. From the start khabib went for the take down and brought the fight to the ground. What ensued was pure domination.

Make sure you do sparring. Only training on the body bag, will not cut it, and you'll pussy out, when faced against someone.

It depends on how good your opponent's takedown defense is. I know for a fact a wrestler who can at least throw hands will f*ck up a boxer.
