Ever since that romantic thread HERE and seeing the many different views and opinions of others, it got me thinking about another question and real-life scenario.. NOW being a somali the chance of this shit happening are SLIM to NONE (LOL) But the off chance you mandem decide to go wife an non somali (to each his own) you might find yourself in this situation. Now me personally, if my ting did this.. I'd disown her no exaggeration, she robbed my manhood.. I lowkey lost my jeans in the relationship and theres soo much more than this, but if I post it all here (yall not gonna read it). So I'll post more insight as this thread continues to grow. In short you just dont f*ck with the culture.. period.


Again just for emphasis (so you all understand the question) what would you do if your fiance(female) got on her knees and proposed in front of all the homies and family.

Let me change it up JUST for you; IF your fiancee came to you and said I want your hand in marriage.. what would you do? forget all the details.. just look at the act. You're most likely not married yourself (Im not either dont get me wrong) BUT I've seen bare weddings and proposals and YES a ring is ALWAYS involved.. usually the man picks out a ring and blam gives it to his ting and she "taken". No disagreement with the ACT of proposing(getting on the knee) but you're still caught up with the ideology of the ring.. hopefully that shed some light. Its not the knee thing, its the ASKING FOR YOUR(male) HAND IN MARRIAGE. The somali twist(in our case) would be her going to youre family and saying I want to marry your son, let me have him.. without you even going to her sides. I have had a chick go to my family to tell them that we were planing to get married but I didn’t have the testicular fortitude to approach her family she was a better person than I will ever be that’s why in sha Allah she’s probably with someone that much better than me in sha Allah it wasn’t written for us to be together.

About the ring thing it’s a Christian thing it doesn’t matter if many westernised Somalis do it still it’s unislamic personally I would never offer a ring to the chick I am marrying.
