I mean situation A; hitting them back, is still on the table. Unless they pummel you so hard that you can barely move before even hitting back.

im not gonna punch them and lose my job because of it. especially in Canada, for some reason the justice system gives too much leeway to criminals.

Currently work with people close to retiring so can’t see this ever happening.

I would hate to hit an old person but it would be reflexive to defend myself. No one has a right to hit me and get away with it.
