To be honest I somewhat agree with them. I hate the "ana arabs" with every fiber of my being, but when the Israel-Hamas war started I saw a lot of the apostate Somalis throwing so much hate towards innocent Gazans.
Out of curiosity from time to time I frequent ExMuslim spaces online to better understand that community, and it's very clear that most of them incorrectly view Islam as an extension of Arab culture. As a result, many of them have developed a deep hatred towards Arab people. Which to be honest is very stupid since there are plenty of ExMuslim Arabs.
As Somalis we are overwhelming Muslim, and the reality is that people who criticize Islam won't be accepted. As a result, I've noticed many murtads veil their Islamophobia behind Anti-Arab racism. Of course this isn't always the case, but I've noticed that there is a strong correlation between Anti-Arab racism and apostasy.
I blame the parents for not keeping them better informed on what's going on with Somalia. Many of these people don't do any research on their own, so their focus is on whatever the new popular cause is at the moment. Unfortunately our problems rarely reach the news unless our people are facing another one of those "worst drought in X many years."
In the end I do agree with the overall sentiment though, I just wanted to provide a little nuance to the discussion

And another retarded statement, what is it with people and doing competition between struggles within the ummah and how on earth is that racism? There is a difference between making dua for your fellow brothers and sisters, whether in Yemen, Somalia, Palestine, or Syria, rather then only trend riding one and committing bidah for the cause.
