I was reading up and damn Menelik II was a monster!

So I was reading an article about Menelik’s conquest of the Omo valley (in south-west Ethiopia) and this stuff is chilling.

Firstly, he conquered the area in the manner of the Europeans (show this to Ethiopians who claim they aren’t a colonizing nation lol)

Even crazier? The big thing they slander us on African and international spaces is slavery- and they did that-

-and then some!!!

The British literally sent their army to stop the Ethiopians from going buck wild against Kenya, Sudan, and South Sudan These guys literally enslaved 30k-80k people from ONE valley!!! Literal extermination!!!

Oh wait! They DID exterminate!

This guy literally wiped two ethnic groups off the face of the earth, and is called a “anti-colonial hero” by gullible Madows.

Cuz it seems kinda hard to believe that southern farmers were able to successfully rebel Menelik’s army multiple times. And in the Battle of Luuq, RX wiped out 22k of his soldiers in a single battle. But somehow, battle-hardened pastoralists in large desert regions were conquered so easily?
