You don't need anything niyow, you just need to make sure the tip of the siwak is soft and moist. You can make it moist by chewing on the tip and stripping the bark off until the small connected bristles start to dis-connect from one another to look like a brush.

You don't need dhowo, Cadaans need dhowo. Our people had good hygienes for generations saaxiib, without using the white mans stuff, because we were literally carrying out/practising a beneficial act our Prophet Muhammad(SAW) used to do. Waxaas ku faan, Cadaanku shaley uun bay barteen sida loo cadayadho.

Apparently it made the taste more tolarable.

I've even heard people suggest chewing with milkshake to me before,

If the taste is so intolerable, Why chew? I'm assuming they do it for the high/focus the khat gives them. If this is the case, I need to create some sort of Khat tablet niggas can swallow, they can bypass the countless hours of chewing and the intolerable taste, but still experience the high/effect. Wallahi I'd be rich, ina gafane better move out my way. It's my time to make a killing of poor somalis (Astaghfirullah)

One weird sh!t I heard was that back home, people who chew khat used to eat a lot of sugar when chewing. Wtf!!!

@Zakaria Hussein sxb drink more water, quit the fizzy drinks, the junk food and quit smoking - not only will your oral hygiene improve, your skin will tighten up and blood circulation will improve. It will also improve the quality of your sleep and subsequently your mood during the day.

I use to detox just twice a year (Ramadan and working out for a holiday) but as you get older you should do it way more regularly.

My dad uses caday and his teeth glistering white and drink shaah bigays. No stain or colouring on his teeth
As for me, I use oral b electric toothbrush 2x daily and I still struggle with stains on my teeth.
Whitening toothpaste made my teeth more senisitive.

Walahi that's interesting. Im not familiar with the whitening toothpaste but I've come across the coal or black powder that's used to whiten teeth. But I believe one of the biggest influence on our teeth is diet.
