I always used to consider myself as a ‘safe brown’ girl, but nobody agrees with this classification. Somalis tell me I’m light skinned, and not brown.

But then again, there are almost no madows and mixed raced madows where I live. And I feel like depending on their classification, it might be different.. I might actually be considered ‘brown’ skinned.

I think it varies , depending on what community you are talking about.

Standards for light skin are much different in America. Chris brown and Drake are light skin, but in Europe we have a lot of dark skin Africans that consider everything a few shades lighter than them light skin

That is what I meant. I have reddish undertones, but she has yellow, hence the slight difference between her and I. Laakin our complexion's are kinda similar.

I don't know anyone with reddish undertones tbh.
