While Bantus aren't our brethren, it's still very tasteless to publicly distance ourselves from them. Europeans and Asians alike view all of Sub-Saharan Africa as a despotic hellscape that contributes nothing to the world, even the North Africans share this view. You are very naive if you think Horn of Africa + Sudan is spared from this characterization. We are not Bantus, Khoisans, or Pgymies but the greater world doesn't care. The more we fight against being seen as Black/Sub-Saharan, the more credence is given to theories like the Hamitic hypothesis.

Currently, the "I no black" defense leads to only two paths that give us zero benefits:
- We're either believed and treated as an extension of the Middle Eastern race, being seen as a success story because we managed to "prevail" against our "primitive" African side. Every single Somali achievement looked at as being only possible due to our Asian side.
- Or we're doubted and seen as toxic, self-hating Blacks who wish they could be apart of the "civilized" races. To everyone else, we'll be seen as self-aware enough to know "our place" at the bottom of the totem and wish for "better", but foolish to think of ourselves as superior to the Africans we share Sub-Saharan Africa with. A straight up laughing stock.

In a world where the people who control financial markets, manipulate media, and own nuclear weapons are not on our side, constantly announcing how we are entirely different to the other powerless Africans will be interpreted in the worst ways imaginable. Not until Somalia becomes a stable prosperous country can Somalis say these things with no consequence.
