Islamically speaking there is only one correct option and that is to defend somalia. The prophet has always advocating saving your self and family first then your people and then and the muslim ummah as a whole after that.
Its literally the principle of fixing your household before trying to help others.
This principle was the prophet's whole life. Allah didn't tell the prophet to immediately start propagating Islam across the world forget the world he was told to keep it a secret and only tell close friends and family for the first couple of years and then eventually he was told to propagate the message of islam to the makkans and during that time period for many years he wasn't told to go out of his way to spread the message beyond the arabs until after the treaty of hudaybiyah only then did the prophet spread islam to Kings across the world.
And many hadeeths regarding the end times the prophet has said about times of fitnahs like you described in your hypothetical scenario a man should avoid fitnah but his priority should be his family and somali people as a whole are an extention of that hence first priority in who we help.
Proximity is a different issue tho like if I'm in Palestine when this all goes down its not like I'm going to refuse to fight because of what's going on in somalia and then again its not like I'm gonna have an access out anyways and potentially dying a martyr regardless of whether it's in somalia or Palestine is fine.
