Sisi already cut ties with Hsm by phone and even threatened Hsm.
Hsm explained to Sisi that he was forced to attend the GERD inauguration die to circumstances, but Sis didn’t wanna hear it.
Of course, the dameer will go to any conference where there's free buffet.. Hopefully some day they'll feed him a lethal dose of poisoned meal..This is a blunder. Culusow sometimes makes errors, he sometimes makes mistakes but this is a blunder. Egypt and Qatar (which was bombed today btw) were according to Muse Biixi the main countries that lobbied against the MOU and put together coalitions in the AU and OIC.
All Culusow had to do to repay this massive favor was stay in Xamar and eat his cambuulo. Why go to the inauguration of a dam that was funded in part by the US and is protected from Egyptian strikes by Israeli SPYDER SAMs? This is as existential for Egypt as the MOU was for Somalia? Why kick Egypt in the teeth for an Ethiopia that less than 10 months ago wanted to break up our country?
Somalia has lost an ally today. We are led by a very stupid man.
I wonder what the Ethiopia promised him to back him as the eternal ruler of villa amisom?
We will see about that. No Ethiopian leader after Selassie has lasted for more than 17 years.
At the end of the day, Eritrea has no reason to sweat this development. Saudi Arabia with their near infinite funds + western support couldn't even defeat the Houthis in Yemen. An invasion of Eritrea no matter how rich Ethiopia could be would be a nightmare to do.
All I'm saying is that there is nothing to really worry about this, Somalia/Eritrea will be fine. On the flip side, Somalis in Ethiopia may also benefit from the electricity.
I've never witnessed a more stupid politician than Qoslaye.. This man has zero strategy, zero dignity and only exist to eat and shit.. I wonder how stupid one must be to support this kinda person and call him a leader. They didn’t promise him anything, Abiy sees Hsm as a untrustworthy idiot and Ethiopia will do what she always did, treat Somalia as Kililka 6aad.
I take back what I said, @Zak12 was right we should just wait and see, 2025-2030 will be a very interesting years for both Somalia and Ethiopia
MOU wasn’t worth paper it was written on. Ethiopia is 3rd world nation it cannot redraw borders. It’s equivalent of HSM working with ONLF and recognizing Ogaden. Egypt won’t do anything about gerd dam. It’s too late to destroy. HSM beholden to Ethiopia he has no choice. Especially when he attempting regime change in jubbaland . He also dependent on them in Hirshabelle and KGS.This is a blunder. Culusow sometimes makes errors, he sometimes makes mistakes but this is a blunder. If the government wasnt artificial and corrupt he would have been impeached in any other countryI've never witnessed a more stupid politician than Qoslaye.. with 1 billion you would reckon they’ll stop crying about the port fees nowEthiopia is expecting up to $1 billion in annual revenue when fully operational.
No wonder Abiy cried at the opening, major milestone for Ethiopia.
Meanwhile Hsm’s HQ:

Nah 1 billion is barely enough for anything when your population is over 100 million, 1 billion isnt even enough for Somalia which has only 20 million people, and importing stuff costs them way more than that on the long run, imagine you have port fees, customs fee, then you have to load the goods on trucks and drive it all the way to the highlands and other remote parts of the country, its really having a toll on their economy by way more than a billionwith 1 billion you would reckon they’ll stop crying about the port fees now![]()
