You’re more likely to randomly end up attracting a Somali gaal presenting as Muslim (this happened to me) than you are to date one on that footing, since most of them, especially the guys, are undercover (and tend to reverberate between their disbelief and cultural affinity).

It’s easier to date Ajnabis by far. I honestly wouldn’t know what to do with a gaal presenting Somali, and I certainly don’t trust Muslim Somali guys either, even if they say they’re ok with your disbelief.

I think every race of women have developed a natural distaste for the own men. Bruh you should see the North African women with their men in Montreal.. they openly diss them and flock to Madows. My personal story aside, I think Somali gaal guys are fine pretending they believe, or bypassing their disbelief if the girl they want is Muslim, or just to play along on a simple path even they’re not in love.

The culture and religion favors them as it is, so they don’t lose anything by it.

There’s something unattractive about a guy who can’t admit his own mind.

The likelihood of meeting a Somali gaal who’s himself, and won’t shortchange you for culture is rare. With an Ajnabi, it isn’t tainted on that end. You make your own path.

Personally, I can’t trust a Somali guy who claims to be Muslim-by-name, non-practicing Muslim, or Muslim-lite either, or even those practicing Muslims who still try to make it seem like your disbelief is irrelevant.

I tried to pretend it didn’t matter in instances. But religion and belief matter, so those types are not an option, and on that note, neither are the shifty waters of Somali gaals. Hence, it’s Ajnabis. It’s comfortable bc our positions are clear. He isn’t afraid of his mind. And he doesn’t want to render you beneath him like his culture permits, simply bc his culture actually doesn’t in such a stark way. Western culture is dignified, hence Ajnabis.

no I know you aren't muslim but I mean raise them on the culture. language, traditions, etc.. and there's so many aspects of somali culture if you leave the religion you don't have to leave your culture. but in somali culture islam plays a huge part. some ex-muslims use the phrase "being culturally muslim".

Language is a clear and important parameter. Beyond that, besides dress and food, which are far less dire to preserve (more superficial) and transient anyway (look at Somali attire 30 years ago and today), what else?
