Whose crying? How are they hypocrites?

We shouldn’t put sheikhs on higher pedestals because they’re human and sin. Unless they’re repeatedly doing something with not correction of their mistake it’s really between them and Allah swt.
I'm not saying crying in the literal sense, and the people on twitter. what makes them hypocrite is them accusing the sheikh of that which they are guilty of simple.

This is one of the most prolific and talented Daacis in the game. His Al-Bayinnah Institute in Texas is tops in Islamic learning. Most importantly, his focus on linguistics to explain Quranic precepts is one of the most captivating and enlightening methods used by scholars. He is a role model to the young and English speakers. We should refrain from slander and mockery.
He is also a sexual abuser and a slanderer himself of the sahabah. Plus he turns the deen into a joke to get views when dawah should be serious

You don't know if he's cried in Salah and been forgiven by Allah, there's a hadith if you cover the sins of others Allah will covers yours in this world.

It was narrated that Abu Hurayrah (may Allah be pleased with him) said: The Messenger of Allah (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) said: “Whoever removes a worldly hardship from a believer, Allah will remove one of the hardships of the Day of Resurrection from him. Whoever grants respite to (a debtor) who is in difficulty, Allah will grant him relief in this world and in the Hereafter. Whoever conceals (the fault of) a Muslim in this world, Allah will conceal him (his faults) in this world and in the Hereafter. Allah will help a person so long as he is helping his brother.”

Narrated by Muslim (2699).

Covering the sins applies if, for example, we're talking about someone drinking alcohol in private. Deviants are a different case. If someone is drinking alcohol alone in private- it's fine to cover their sin. But with deviants, they need to be refuted to protect the people.
