It is these self proclaimed "good looking girls" who end up 29 and single because they can't find a "good man". I know plenty of quality girls who took the initiative on making moves with their now husbands, including a close friend of mine.
Just think about it.....if you are only waiting for someone to approach you, you are by definition selectively choosing your potential partner based on who makes a move on you. That is severely limiting. I don't see proactive approaches by women as "desperate" by any measure. You will realise this later on in life, when likely your prince charming has never approached you.
