Let’s not dismiss that important role which enables a guy to succeed in the first place. what about if roles were reserved? There are a lot of blokes who marry wealthy women for their money. After a divorce, if one doesn’t want equal share of the “family’s wealth”, they should reside a place where pre-nups are legal and the expectations and roles are very clear. I think Australia is like Washington State and these days prenup are less worthy than the papers it’s written on it.

As for Jeff Bezos, he started Amazon in selling books from the garage of his house when he married Mackenzie. He spent all he made running a hedge-fund on this project and had no idea if the concept will succeed or fail. It's like a Somali Taxi-driver asking for a prenup not knowing if he will lose his license that he will become reliant on the welfare proceeds the wife will receive. It makes more sense and effective with older wealthy men like Rupert Murdoch who are serial wedders and want to protect their wealth to be inherited by their adult children and grandchildren..
