Most Somalis back home dont recognize generals named after Kacaan. People like General Morgan, General Galaal, Col Barre Hiiraale , Col Tuke have actually graduated from military school.
The fake generals are laughed at, the only one I could say was really competant post siyaad wa Gen Dhagabadan AUN
Simple come from major clan, serve clan and or FMS interests. Get the support of your clan. Come to Mogadishu in a giant convoy of technicals. Spend the next month doing vigilante justice catching AS and Ciyaal Weero, ask for promotion and make your clan and FMS intercede for you.

There is a difference between commissioned officers and enlisted ones.
to reach the rank of major general or lieutenant general ( sareeye guud) the highest rank , you start as a commissioned officer with the rank of Xidigle ( second lieutenant) , and in most countries you have to have at least 4-year college degree , combat experience alone is not enough.
