How the Puntland tank was captured and the anger behind

The Mudug militia were persuaded to take their best Tank that defended the whole of Gaalkacyo which even had a name and was renowned throughout the environs and beyond to bring to the war theatre along with troops from there.

I highlighted in a previous thread how the Tank was released to engage in the battle on last tuesday.

Saabuun what the Tank was called was captured by Jaamac Siyaad troops.

The Mudug community have gone crazy and are blaming the loss of their best tank on Col Jimcaale who hails from Garoowe.

They accuse him of leaving the battle field for the tank to be captured.

Those that lost the tank even left behind a dead young man in the tank and ran off.

Saabuun the lost tank engaged in many battles in Gaalkacyo and was guarded and revered by its owners and the Mudug clans of Puntland.

They are now saying they want to return the tank by negotiations or recapture it through fighting as the y heavily rely on the tank in Gaalkacyo to defend the city.

There are other tanks but not as effective as Saabuun.

The Mudug clans who say that the tank is equivalent to 100‘s of men accuse Col Jaamac Takar of ignoring commands by his superior like Gen Said Dheere and fighting in his own way that resulted in them losing their much beloved Saabuun tank.

They accuse Jimcaale of a mission by colluding with pro Jaamac Siyaad militia in a mission to capture the Tank and afflict heavy losses on them.

Col Jimcaale is of course close to President Abdirahman Faroole.

I used to believe Saahid but according to you puntland was supposed to be fighting 2 months ago. Also you have a general bias against puntland.

Those that lost the tank even left behind a dead young man in the tank and ran off.

He was thought to be dead at first by SL when they left him heavily wounded, but he is still alive with life threathening injuries.

They accuse Jimcaale of a mission by colluding with pro Jaamac Siyaad militia in a mission to capture the Tank and afflict heavy losses on them.

Col Jimcaale is of course close to President Abdirahman Faroole.

That is nonsense. It was a strategic miss and the reer mudug involved in the fight know it. Waxa suuqa ay dadweynuhu ku sheekeystaan isn’t of importance.

The accusations labeled against Col Jimcaale is to mask the strategic failures which resulted in the loss of the best tank Puntland brought to the fight and the poor performance on Tuesday at the battle field.

Those accusing Jimcaale had enough men and firepower but they ran away and left the tank behind for Jaamac Siyaad to capture it.

Shambolic!

Poet tell that to Abdalla who thinks no tank was captured!

I never said the accusations were substantiated.
You’re saying ”clans are accusing” when clearly, as I believe you know, the fighters and colonels of the same clans do not make such an accusation, but rather recognize that it was a misplaced manouvre and miscommunication that led to the loss of the tank. They are planning for the next clashes instead of accusing Jimcaale for treason kkkk. Next time say the average Joe of those clans believe.

The most priced war booty on Tuesday was that Tank because the value it had sentimentally for those it belonged to, its performance and reliability.

It‘s capture is embarrassing to say the least.

They wanted Jimcaale to be relieved of his duties but that did not happen the conflict stagnated because the trust is lost along with waiting for reinforcements.

It was said the issue was put to rest between the two subclan but that will not stop some clan members hailing from Mudug spreading those accusations and making it an excuse for the loss of the revered Tank!

Somaliland Soldiers standing with Tank called Saabuun.

Saabuun came all the way from Gaalkacyo and was captured in battle in Tukaraq by Somaliland militia hailing from Laascaanood.
