Are there are enough notable Somali basketball players? In order for social media to be profitable, I think you'd need to post pretty frequently. Would there be enough things to report about? I'm not so familiar with the Somali sports scene so I could be underestimating just how many ballers there are out there
There a couple high level ones now but Iwould focus on all levels starting from high school-potentially nba I would try to post highlight reels and box scores I’d probably even post Somali basketball back home and diaspora tournaments and the national team if I can get the footage some of these pages are very simple yet have thousands of followers look at this page on twitter @hscircuit they basically post box scores and retweet highlights and have 13k followers looks too easy

All race-centric social media pages never flourish and grow well you should be very diverse if you want results.
Good advice but I also know how Somali people gravitate towards Somali content on social media just look at the Somali athlete page they have 60k followers on the gram and I remember when they first started out

Most of influencers incomes except youtubers come from sponsors. There are barely any sponsors who target somali contents. Even with large followers, you won't make much off of Somali related contents just like fob influencers back home.
