They can't get it to work because who is the 'people' ayaa laysku gabsanaya in republic type government, how will citizenship be defined is the issue. A Somali means nothing when you go to different regional areas, you know your 'somali citizenship' is just silly attempt to europeanize somali govt system when it's furthest from the truth.

Citizenship in PL is given out as 'ku dhashay ama uu dhashay puntland' either your born in puntland which I disagree with as the 'IDPS' will claim puntland status thru this 'loop hole' especially the ones born there.

I prefer the uu dhashay puntland principle, that means you have family members who were born in puntland and in-fact I argue if you don't have family members in puntland for at least the past century, your not a citizen

SL won’t be recognised until they reach an agreement with Somalia, this is a given. Also in a couple years time Somalia’s embargo will inevitably be lifted at that point what will soviet weapons from the 80s really do against modern weapons. As seen in the azeri Armenian conflict a few months ago soviet weapons are no match for. But you probably already know this since since you’re so worked up about what is going on in Somalia

Sxb your waffling now federal means there a federal states and a federal govt which holds the power. The uae type system can’t be achieved as they’re is too much cuqdad between sub clans. For example a emir of darood and emir of hawiye,etc would work but Somalis live all over and are very close together. Also in the uae the uae govt controls everything such as the military, immigration, economy. The emirates like Sharjah and Dubai are free to pass their own emirate laws but the law of the govt come first. It’s basically a federal system. However you want PL and other states to be their own country and then to come to xamar which is shared by everybody and act like they’re part of the country. This won’t work and we both know it. This federal idea has to be scrapped completely and Somalis need to come together and agree on a new federal framework. Dubai can’t negotiate with Iran on its own without the blessing of the govt and California can do what they want with China without the US govt approval so why can this happen in Somalia? This is why the current federal system won’t work it is inherently flawed and is holding the country back. In another thread I’ve seen people talking about federalising the national army what type of retarded behaviour is that! Each state should have a national guard consisting of a certain number of soldiers and that should be it. The fact people can consider federalising the army is testament to how stupid the current system is. I see a lot of people on here calcaling about how the “dictator” farmaajo wants an authoritarian centralism but what alternative is there to centralism if federal states are acting like their own country and going against the government whilst their leaders call themselves president.
