My parents came to the west way before the civil war started. My dad was in Toronto, My mom was in New York. I was born and raised in Toronto.

but I have some reletives who came here in the 50s and 60s as sea-men (sailors), matter of fact I met this 50+ odey who was born in NY.
and that was 10 years ago

So they moved further to their neighboring country and said they were asylum seekers
