This is what I mean when I say the biggest mistake society has done is pushing for women to be career oriented. There is absolutely no need for a woman to work if her husband makes $400k. Wallah these brothers use these excuses to justify why they cannot fulfill their duties as the protector and provider. Having a homemaker wife is a fantasy shown on television. The harsh reality is that most of us will not be rich but middle class and by having one parent stay at home, you’re essentially reducing the amount of money available for the family to utilise.
Even if your wife makes 50K a year, that’s an extra 50K that can be put into an index fund or pay bills or used to send kids to private school.

Jokes aside, laziness is a disease of the heart and affects our imaan according to Ibn Taymiyyah. So you generally hating to work is not a healthy mindset to have in this life.
There is also a hadith that talks about the hand that gives is better than the hand that receives. Even if you dont financially contribute in your marriage, having your own money is good for you. You can save it for emergencies, buy gifts for your family and friends during holidays, ect.
But like I said, to each their own..

Ideally, if money isn't an issue, I would want a housewife. However, I would want her to be educated and capable of homeschooling. I have 0 faith in western education system, public schools are trash and in private schools they will turn your kids into faggits and you'll pay top dollar for it.
