To grow a population from 25 million to 80 million you'd have to solve couple of issues first. For instance food water sewage and housing education transportation. All of these can be solved rather easily if taken adequate steps and look at how neighbors countries did it. For instance look at Saudi Arab they when from nomads to build skyscraper in 2 generations. We first have solve oil and money distribution through our all regions equal.

I think having large resources amd a small population will prove more beneficial in the future. It will boost gdp per capita and reduce the existence of an underclass, reduce the need for high spending and welfare. Whatever shortages in the workforce there is we can suplement with immigrants.
I also like the sparse population.
We don’t have the land capabilities to sustain a population of anything more than 30 million. We have just too much barren lands

Do you not comprehend the size of Somalia. Just on the East Coast of America there are 150 million Americans and most of its empty. 80 million ethnic Somali's in Somalia is feasible. Southern Somalia and feed the all of Somalia due to its large rivers and amazing soil.

Some parts of the Sahel and central africa are far worse than the Horn of Africa (especially Somalia). The other day ISIS killed some Christian people by beating them to death with the back of their guns. AQ and Isis west Africa are involved in major daily battles and the Tuareg insurgency persists. The Mali government regularly kills large numbers of civilians and Wagner has committed atrocities. In some parts of the Sahel Fulanis and other groups are killing each other or joining AQ. Then you have the violence in Congo and the recent Rwandan backed rebellion.
I believe the violence has reached some parts of Nigeria.
Most of the violence in Somalia is actually between combatants and you don’t really see hundreds of villagers attacked or people being taken into slavery, mass rape of women or cannibalism (Muslims were cannibalised in CAR). Ethiopia actually sees more communal violence than Somalia but it rarely makes the news.
What makes Somalias situation precarious is the threat of shabab takeover and possibly famine.
While alshabab is undoubtedly a terrorist group. I can't think of a single instance of them coming into a village or small town and killing hundreds. This is something that routinely happens in countries like Nigeria by either herdsmen or militants.

land capability isn't Somalia's biggest issue, it's that we don't have productive agriculture. we only really have small-scale farmers and geeljires who are destroying the land. we would need to plant nitrogen-fixing plants to colonize most of the land, and make it so that geeljires and other herders can't destroy young plants by using a rotation system for grazing. and an actual working state (no your bantustan clan colony doesn't count). also we could use greenhouses like spain does in its dessert, it has 200mm yearly the same as somalia, they use groundwater to grow. we have very big aquifers we don't have to rely on drying rivers streaming from the ethiopian highlands.
Large parts of sparsely populated areas of Somalia is suitable for agro-pastoralism and there extensive green pastures suitable for grazing land that you can settle a people into. So you can build settled ranch farms and grazing ranges, managed irrigation, with a few industries to build out towns around them. The coast can be also be either thriving commercial port centers like Bosaso, Berbera and Mogadishu can be, and the rest can be fishing villages and seafood, salt processing industrial towns etcs This is the trajectory we are seeing now.
Geographically, Somalia can sustain a much larger population with the right infrastructure.
Somalia has enough natural resources to support a much bigger population if investments are made in agriculture, livestock, and water management.
But that being said population numbers is hardly going to be problem. Somalia is not as densely populated as countries like Bangladesh or Ethiopia, meaning it has space and resources to expand.
As long as economic growth outpaces population growth, Somalia will remain on a positive trajectory. Somalia’s population growth rate: ~2.8% per year. Somalia’s real GDP growth (adjusted for informal economy): 10%–12%+ per year
Economic growth is nearly 4x higher than population growth. This means Somalia is generating wealth at a faster rate than its population is increasing -leading to improved living standards over time.

also one thing to add considering we have uranium stores and a fast sealine we could do nuclear desalination to also have a bigger store of water. its energy efficient and environmentally safe. and the salt brine can be also used as lithium that they use in electric batteries. it would be a great thing to use for somalia.
