You freaking degenerate.I talked to @The alchemist about this and he nicely broke it down, let me regurgitate what he said to me.View attachment 378368

At @Garaad Awal and @NidarNidar is the Ethiopian part from Akisho?
I talked to @The alchemist about this and he nicely broke it down, let me regurgitate what he said to me.
Some people show a tiny amount of DNA related to Southern African and Central African ancient hunter-gatherers. This small signal can artificially make it look like they have Ethiopian (Mota-related) ancestry, even when they actually don’t.
Long ago, small groups with Southern-African-like ancestry may have moved into areas of northern Kenya and the Somali Peninsula, leaving behind a very small “ghost” genetic trace in some Somalis today. This ancestry is ancient, very minor, and not connected to modern Central Africans.
Once this “ghost” ancestry is removed from genetic models, the supposed Ethiopian/Mota ancestry in Somalis often disappears. This explains why some genetic results appear to show Oromo or Ethiopian mixture even when there isn’t any real recent connection.
Some groups in Kenya and Somali, like the Aweer/Boni show this older Southern-African-like hunter-gatherer ancestry as well.
So for me the algorithim tries to overcorrect it, since I don't have enough of this ghost dna(1.4%) and my grandmother has about 3.4% which now shows up as Khoisan etc...
Akisho are 100% Somali, the Jaarso are the more mixed bag, but still majority of their ancestry would be Somali stilll, depending on subclans.
Seems like you have slightly more then me and it shows up as Khoisan southern east African, these dna markers are also present within them since they absorbed these San like populations.

I got Nigerian xD and some Hindi, anything under 1% is just noise, though the endemic ghost population we have is being mistaken for these other groups, if you're from the north, especially, it's mostly found with those with ancestry in the SR.The Khoisan one is Angolan and Congolese, its high at 2.1% for an average somali, probably from the Arabian side that's why I have higher than expected, but as you mentioned i did see some get the Angolan and Congolese especially the somali regions you mentioned also alot from Northern regions as well.

Surprisingly you, @The alchemist and others in this forum were ahead in time only for 23andme to confirm your theories later were spot on, its all making sense now, the pieces are adding up.I got Nigerian xD and some Hindi, anything under 1% is just noise, though the endemic ghost population we have is being mistaken for these other groups, if you're from the north, especially, it's mostly found with those with ancestry in the SR.
