Jawiil is home to Ciise Mudulood (Udjejeen), clan of the first president of Somalia Aden Cadde. Town locals welcome their Xildhiban Abuukato. Jawiil is strategic as it is on the highway that splits into road to Galkacyo and straight into Ethiopia
