Somaliland: Zambia Minister of Justice arrives in Hargeisa

A high-level delegation led by Zambia minister of justice Gavin Lubinda has today arrived in Hargeisa.
Upon arrival at the Hargeisa International Airport, Gavin Lubinda was accorded a warm welcome by Somaliland Deputy Minister of foreign affairs Liban Yousuf Osman.

Zambia is the second Southern African Development Community (SADC ) state to visit Hargeisa after Malawi.
On December 19, 2020, the Malawi delegation led by Foreign Minister Eisenhower Mkaka arrives in Hargeisa, the capital city of Somaliland for an official state visit.

The delegation will meet Somaliland President Muse Bihi Abdi and other government officials.

With all Somalia's problems no other admin would embarrass itself receiving Kingdom of Yellow Mountain or this judge from Zambia. Your heart is in the right place but the way you go about is unprofessional, cringe and reeks of desperation.

Wallahi I would support Somaliland if it takes concrete efforts to obtain the elusive recognition but I was see from past and present that recognition is not a real priority, or your politicians are incredibly incompetent & detached from reality.

That's the thing, Somaliland move in grand scheme foreign policy are mind boggling to say the least. You're telling me Somaliland elite politician failed to capitalize on peace, order, democracy and geopolitics?

All you got to show for is:

1- UAE investing in Berbera
2- Breakthrough with Taiwan


Both happened in span of 5 years, the other 25 years Somaliland was running around like a headless chicken.

Coming from a place that was called the Dresden of Africa in the 80s-91 to having peace, democracy, and an ever growing middle class is good natural growth. SL is in its early development stages with a state of the art port and airport and now the logistics of roads and bridges being built throughout the country. We've already completed our oil & gas exploration through much of the eastern blocks. Not to mention a agricultural initiative which reduced imports on fruits and veggies by up to 80%. This was all occurring over the past 10 years. Having infrastructure, which is currently being upgraded east to west, proceeds extraction. We know exactly what we're doing.

Compare that process to the Jabarti leader of Somalia signing away fishing rights for 1 million to China and also signing off all oil blocks. All the while the country is occupied by 30,000 foreign troops, terrorists and warlords.
I'm pretty sure, as a darood, you're people could use your exemplary advice to get them out of the bleak situation of foreign occupation and terrorism. It's obvious who's bad at politics mate

Someone who has an axe to grind with Somaliland, as can be seen in this forum, cant give out constructive criticism because you either dont know the history or belittle and revise that history

You're talking about diplomacy
when Cigaal was in power yet the Somaliland currency didn't even reach burco at the time. The first 19 years of Somaliland, Somaliland was state building from the ground up. The country was carpet bombed and riddled with over 1 million land mines. No political institutions, no currency, capital 70% destroyed, most cities were completely destroyed and UNSOM was busy trying to force somaliland to be part of their colony along with Somalia. Which led to the UN pumping money to start a civil war in Somaliland in the 90s.

Somaliland literally had all odds against it, I'm surprised it even survived the first 10 years. Anywho, 2010-present time is when I can say the state was consolidated enough to start taking its place in the geopolitical arena. And since then SL has been in overdrive

Muse bixi was asked about the governments many engagements including the Djbouti conference, South Africa, Guinea, Malawi, Kenya, UAE, and other nations. He said there's alot of stuff going on that I cant discuss. The lobbying in Africa is definitely in overdrive
