Yarad is what you give to the girls family mainly her dad

Meher is the money for the wife, this you usually don't pay up front

Sooryo is the money you put down on the table on the day of your meher. This is given to the girls family, although its tradition that they give half back to the guys family

Mariin is not mentioned on the list but it is very important this is what you give to the girl before the wedding. It can be gold, cash, clothes or all of them. You don't want your girl to be broke on her wedding
