I've been to Hargeisa and the roads are a mess. Beautiful place though, Xamar has actually has paved roads. still if you compare Hargeisa and Mogadishu with Gabarone, Windhoek or Khartoum we're way behind in terms of infrastructure and institutions etc

It's destitute poor. The strangest thing I saw were welfare payments being used to build homes that would remain empty while there are homeless families living on the streets. Very strange.
