The language of the Act of Union is so unequivocal I was shocked when I first read it. No one uses words like "forever" anymore. The language is so clear, I had no doubt after reading it that this was the main reason why SL has not gained recognition.

Somaliland willingly united, FOREVER, with Somalia. Happy 26 of June!

FAKE NEWS!!

No Act of Union document was ever signed by Somaliland!!!!!

Both sides drew up different acts of union, but no agreed upon Act of Union was ever signed, as they couldn't agree on the terms of the union.

It is why you are resorting to showing a picture of Cigaal signing the Somaliland Independence from Britain document, with Iain Macleod, British Secretary of State for the Colonies.

:damn: :damn: :damn: :damn:

These Wanlaweyn fantasists and their habit of fabricating history (and now even documents) is pathetic.
:mjlol::mjlol::mjlol:

Show one iota of evidence of a Act of Union document that the Somaliland & Somalia delegations signed.

The Somaliland Legislative Assembly passed the Somaliland and Somali Union Law on June 27 1960. The Council of Ministers, made up of the 4 men pictured above, took it with them when they flew to Mogadishu. They then signed it in Mogadishu on July 5, after Somalia gained independence on July 4.

I am not making shit up. The duly elected representatives of the people of Somaliland signed away, FOREVER, any claim to a seperate soverignity that Somaliland had between June 26 and July 5 1960.

This explains why SL has zero ictiraaf support from the international community for 30 years despite Somalia literally not exciting for most of that time.

Forever! Why are they still deluded enough to think now that Somalia can flex it’s muscles on the secessionist region they will ever get there when they couldn’t after 30 years

Guul Somalia!

Don't let the cuqdad written HA and HJ push you away. Somalia's independence is 62 and it's only uphill from here

You are totally making it up. You know what an Act of Union requires? for TWO parties to sign the Act.

The North and the South never signed the same Act. Each prepared their own signed draft, but they couldn't agree on the terms of a final Act of Union. If you aren't making it up, it should be easy for you to produce the Act of Union BOTH parties signed.

FAKE NEWS!!

PS are you so dense that you don't recognise the picture you are using is the picture of the Somaliland delegation signing Somaliland independence from the British. The clue is the British secretary of State in the picture!!!

Idoors are impossible to reason with. You deny reality.

Let’s today celebrate the raising of the Somali flag in Hargeisa on 26th June 1960

Hassan Sheikh cancels celebrations , the man who spent 2 million on his inauguration says he'll spend the 60K on the drought.

@TekNiKo this guy can't even celebrate his independence day. A traitor in every way.

The picture was chosen because it shows all four members of the Council of Ministers.
It was not taken in Mogadishu.

There is no legal requirement that the state being joined has to pass any law whatsoever. Somaliland was simply united with Somalia. The legality of the union is entirely based on the decision of a supermajority (more than 66%) of Somaliland's Legislative Assembly to FOREVER unite with Somalia, and the Council of Minister's assent to the law.

There were no two parties left after Somaliland passed Law No 1. The Somaliland government ceased to exist when the law was signed in Mogadishu on July 5.

As I suspected more calaacal, ZERO evidence, and an admittance of the totally irrelevant and misleading picture.

This was supposed to be an Act of Union, meaning two states joining to become one, not one joining the other. The fact that this has to be explained to you is embarrassing.

Here is Contini, a legal constitutional law expert writing in 1969, in his book on the subject, The Somali Republic: An Experiment in Legal Integration:
the two parties agreed to sign an act of Union after independence. They agreed that the act would be in the nature of an international agreement between two states..... The Law was immediately effective in Somaliland, but as set out in the recital, it was supposed to be signed by the representatives of Somalia, as well. In fact, this never happened.
Unlike you, I don't just talk from my behind, I actually bring receipts about what the legal process entailed.
:westbrookswag:

The fact you don't understand that an Act of Union requires two signatures, shows you are way out of your depth here and are desperately grasping at straws.

So your basis of illegal union is Somalia never signed it but Somaliland did.

I’m dead. :mjlol:
