You erase your unique identity, culture and language only to end up at the bottom of the totem pole of social groups. At least other immigrant groups are rewarded when they erase their identity and get to be in an intermediate position between blacks and whites, African immigrants actually fall lower in the hierarchy when they assimilate! You're playing the victim. There's no evidence of this. As long as those African immigrants value education, hard work and don't blame people for their problems, they'll be fine after they have integrated fully into society. There are millions of African Americans who live middle and upper middle class lifestyles and many even better than that.
