Heyy, there is this video I saw on YouTube a few yrs ago that cracked me up. A fob YouTuber asks Somalis in Puntland is they’re Arab and the responses were entertaining. 80% genuinely believed they were of Arab origin , though they mostly saw themselves as Somali first.

Somalis are a funny bunch. I doubt many of them truly see themselves as ‘Arab’ per say, but from that video it was evident most thought they had an Arab forefather.

Most of the ones I've seen are barely Somali.


Only cultured half Somalis Ive seen are the ones raised in the hood with somalis. If they're being raised in the hood that means their parents fucked up early in life.

Y'all always say this and I've always found it stupid AF.

If the half Somali is being raised by middle class parents a majority of the time they won't be that cultured. Especially if they're being raised in the suburbs.

This is the main reason why I consider half somalis a lost cause. They assimilate a lot faster than somalis and tend to marry non somalis more often.

A decent amount of the half white ones only claim their half Somali side because white people don't f*ck with them. Like literally that's it. Some of the half Madows find somali culture to be restrictive/strict and would rather embrace their madow side.
