GXJS resistance gains momentum

The entire army based in goof sanaag switched sides and joined the resistance, muuse bihi gonna lose control of the vast garhajis teriitories within a short period of time

It seems it's getting heated, but why are they fighting police? is the rumors true they were disarmed by egal back in the day and read the loser clause to hand in all weapons? why else their not fighting army?

Unlike puntland every clan got disarmed by their will, Arap put down all of their weapons and soon every isaaq clan followed their path, so its misleading to say someone disarmed by someone

From Cabdale Ismail in Maroodi Jeex to Yonis Ismail in Sanaag. Ismail Carre answering G36 call to arms and paving the way for the rest of Gx.

Vast majority of the 'army' are in Sool and many have perished in Goojacade. That is why Ina Bixi has resorted to using mainly local police. I'm also hearing reports some Gx army men have even handed themselves to SSC to join their GL militia.

All the subclans made an agreement to hand in their arms under the pretext of forming a national army in Egal era.

So Garhajis/Samaroon handed weapons in to egal? inside their army do GX/Awdal control their weapon? and can they pull it out when needed or is it under Nuux Tani who seems to be a constant and never replaced in SL army.

@DR OSMAN

I forgot to mention that the Somaliland 'army' is estimated to be only 8,000, and the police are only 2,000 less, according to the Minister of Interior, Chief of Staff, and Police Commissioner in 2019.

Yes, there was an agreement and of course everyone has access to their own weaponry during conflicts or patrols and whatnot, but assumingly that it's structured as a normal 'army' then it would be kept in the armoury under supervision.

I think they only have access to light weapons like rpg-aks and not any big weapons according to every video you see from awdal or garhajis when-ever a conflict arises. Is big weapons under Nuux Tani? @Ozark

That's true. We also had heavy weaponry, but we handed them over so they could be integrated into the 'army'. They're all under Nuux Tani's supervision.

Before all that, we fought with our heavy weaponry and controlled our checkpoints, similar to other parts of Somalia at present.

Between Hargeisa-Borama, there used to be 14 checkpoints, with 6 belonging to Samaroon and 6 to Habar Awal. Between Burco-Laaska, there were 26 checkpoints, but there's no mention of clans in the latter. This info is from a survey released in 1997 after the disarmament process that began in 1994.

What's with SL tanks it's always 'pictures' only and 'painting' done, their no video ever shown they even start up let alone be operational in a war. Their is always 4 BMS paraded, yet only 2 are confirmed to be operational in the battle field. Somalis assume their just painted but not operational as their never seen in battle field or any video showing they function. @Ozark

I know for fact Goojacade has 3k soldiers that means nearly half the army is in Sool.
With those that perished and those that have been pulled out by Nuux Tani to confront GLF or willing pulled out like the GX have done to join GLF then it must've reduced to between 1-2k.

If Gacan Libaax forces open on multiple fronts there will be even more will pull outs. It ain't looking good for Ina Bixi and Nuux Tani.

Times ticking.

Yes, all the tribes handed over heavy weapons starting in 1997 , and Habar yoonis was the last to hand over weapons in 1999.
But only the western side handed over the weapon The eastern part still have a lot of weapons but it is difficult to transport them to the west because you will pass through Habr Jeclo
