You wonder why our country is so shit because the Government would rather pay officials western wages in the poorest country in the world than develop our economy.
Not even 1 percent of the spending goes towards the economy.
Not even 0.1 percent goes towards the economy.
Instead you have government officials making 100k USD per year in the poorest country in the world.
Instead you are dumping 147 million into a military that in 10 years hasn't been able to defeat a bunch of teenages with ak-47s.
I give up with this country

Heres a 2018 budget breakdown, honestly looks like most of these percentages are shams.
But really wish the education percent went up if it is real

No better way to fight extremisim and gear the economy with a competent population than through education.

How are you supposed to grow when you don't want to spend money on infrastructure and the economy?

Why the hell are ministers in the poorest country making the same money was western officials.
There no reason anyone should be making more than like 35k per person in Somalia

I mean it’s slim pickings due to the 4.5 system. It’s either a Hawiye or a Darood.

The argument in favour of the Somali govt is that "if the politicians are paid a good amount they wouldn't have any incentive to steal from the govt" in theory that's a sound idea but truth is humans are greedy you could give the politicians a salary of 1M+ yearly and they'd still steal national funds. I say change their salary monthly based on how good they perform. If the politicians do a lot of good in a month then raise their salary and vice versa.

The minority tribes are all aligned with one of the 5 major tribes (carab salaax are aligned with mj-darod, reer xamar and barwanis are aligned with hawiyes, yibir typically aligned with isaaq and j4reerweyne are aligned with rahanweyn-D&M )

I meant like a person from the Dir tribe for example, ok they’re not a minority as they’re ethnic Somalis but they’re tiny if you compare them with likes Daroods,Hawiyes etc.

Even if Dir hypothetically got the presidential seat they'd have to appeal towards one of the main darod or hawiye subs. This isn't America Dir don't have the muscle in Somalia to just do what they want they'd get kicked out of office before they could even touch the kursi
