It's about questioning the punitive teaching methods used in dugsi. And how that approach isn't effective but detrimental and about employing more effective, engaging and compassionate ones for truly appreciating and loving the Deen over one's lifetime.

They don't look like Cadcads. They Gibil-Madow? Though I've noticed most Gibil-Madow don't seem to go by Benadiri or "Reer Xamar" most of the time nowadays.
What is Gibil madow? I hear that a lot, but I assumed it was another word for cadcad/reer Xamar.

I’m not sure exactly what they are but I know for sure they are related to reer xamars and bantus. A lot of people have negative views on the way our minorities look, I’m glad people find my guy on the left attractive. If I said he was bantu before anybody said anything would they still find him attractive??
Most people don't seem to know that "Benadiri" doesn't really refer to Cadcads exclusively. Benadiris are a whole historical subclass of Somalis consisting of a wide amalgamation of qabiils, only some of whom were actually mixed/asiatic (Gibil-Cad). The majority were what was known "Gibil-Madow" and consisted of "pure" Somali Ajuuraan, Raxanweyn and Hawiye subclans who were long time inhabitants of towns like Xamar and Marka. These Gibil-Madow subclans were usually the source of the ruling elite in these port-towns and also the majority of the population:

They are also the source of the Somali ancestry in Cadcads and outnumbered them and any genuine ajanabis like Indians and Arabs.

Yes Dugsi is definitely one of the most terrifying experience as a child I guess that's universal regardless where you are. I'm glad to have seen this video irrespective of the thread's title. This is informative and I believe educative.
Maybe it's up to the millennials and the gen z to change the dynamics and the next generation.
Will we get to see the Macalin not held their canes in a tight grip because all this is causing fear mongering and discourages the pupil to attend.
Perhaps it's about time I open a channel.
Create similar contents revolving around South African Somali youths. Narrating about our surroundings just down to earth podcasts.

I know trolls in the diaspora would make fun of our accents I just had realised that. Just like they would ridicule the English of a Kenyan Somali or a Somali from Somalia.
Somali internet, no I'm not referring this forum but Somali internet on various social media platforms are outrageously vicious.
